Copying security

 

Prerequisites

  • Access to the Configuration > Document > Category (DC043) menu.
  • Previously configured category.

 

Introduction

SoftExpert Document allows copying document security records from one category to another, thus facilitating replication of permissions and ensuring consistency in access control. 

This feature speeds up security management and reduces the need for manual configurations.

 

Copying security

1. Access the Configuration > Document > Category (DC043) menu.

2. Use the search filters to find the category.

3. Select the category and click on the Edit icon toolbar button.

4. Open the Security > Document section of the category.

5. Select the desired permissions and click on the Copy icon. button from the sidebar toolbar.

6. Select the categories to which the permissions will be copied.

7. Once done, click on the Save and Exit icon. button.

8. Confirm the system message.

All security configurations defined in the selected categories will be replaced by the new ones.

 

 

Conclusion
