Introduction

The general parameters menu allows you to define the default settings of the component, applicable to all records registered in the system. These settings can facilitate the use of the available resources.

Configure general parameters

1. Access the Configuration > General parameters (DR002) menu.

2. In the Retention section, configure the retention period of the records in the recycle bin. By default, records remain in the recycle bin for 30 days after being deleted. To change the period, fill out the "Keep files in the recycle bin for" field with the desired number of days, between 1 and 60 days. After the configured period ends, the records will be permanently removed from the system.

3. In the Sharing section, configure the sharing external to the organization. To do so, disable or enable the following options:

• Allow external sharing: allows records to be shared externally and viewed without the need to log in to the system.
• Allow download and printing of externally shared files and folders: allows records, once shared externally, to be downloaded or printed.

4. Click the button to save the changes.

Conclusion

The configured parameters will be applied to all records in the system from now on!
