Using AI to create and edit text

Prerequisites
- SoftExpert Suite environment hosted in the cloud.
- Previously configured generative AI and NLP API.
- Access to menus that contain records with fields that require rich text or description.
- "AI features'' permission enabled in Configuration > Access group (CM011) > Other permissions > AI features.
Introduction
Copilot, the Artificial Intelligence (AI) of SoftExpert, offers two features to help in the creation and editing of texts:
- AI agent: generates content based on a command provided by the user.
- AI commands: provides various options to modify text segments, such as summarizing, expanding upon, or trimming the generated content.
Both features are available in all SoftExpert Suite fields that require rich text or descriptions, regardless of the component in which they are located.
This article will demonstrate the use of these features in SoftExpert Risk.
AI agent and commands to edit texts
- On some screens, the AI agent feature is represented by the
icon, and the AI commands feature, by the 
icon. The way to use them is similar to that described below, with the difference that, to use the AI commands, it is necessary to select the text segment you wish to modify. - The steps will be demonstrated in the Risk (RI455) menu, but the procedure is valid for all menus in which the features are available.
1. Access the Library menu > Risk (RI455).
2. Locate the risk and right-click on it.
3. Select the Open data option.
4. In Description, click on AI agent.
5. Enter the desired instruction, such as, for example: "Generate description".
6. If the generated description is satisfactory, click on Add. Otherwise, click on Try again to generate a new description.
7. After clicking on Add, the content generated will be automatically added to the description field.
8. To change parts of the text, click on AI commands. The available actions are:
- Summarize, Improve, Simplify, Expand upon, Trim, and Correct spelling.
- Change tone: Professional, Casual, Direct, Bold, Friendly.
- Change style: Business, Legal, Journalistic, Medical, Poetic.
9. Click on the desired action, and the content will be generated according to the selected option.
10. The content generated will be included in the description field.
11. To finish, click on the 
button.
Detailed AI commands
The available commands are described below; see how each one can be used to edit and improve the text:

Change style |
Adapts the style of the text according to the context, offering styles such as Business, Legal, Journalism, Medical, and Poetic. For example, the Legal style is ideal for formal documents, while the Journalism style is more suitable for updates or release announcements. |
