Adding single and multiple files to the document
Prerequisites
- Access to the Document (DC010) menu.
- Category configured with single or multiple electronic file types.
- Created document with configured general data.
Introduction
A document can only have 1 electronic file if the file type of its category is configured as single.
Likewise, it will be possible to add more than one electronic file if the file type is multiple.
The steps in this article are valid for both cases. See how to add a single electronic file or multiple files to the document:
Adding an electronic file
1. Access the Document (DC010) menu.
2. Locate the document and right-click on it.
3. Select the Open data option.
4. Access the Electronic file tab.
5. Click on Add.
6. Drag and drop one (single) or more (multiple) electronic files onto the specified area.
7. Wait for the system to fully load the files. In case of error, the system will display an alert icon with further details.
8. Once all files are loaded, click on the Finish button.

- Some file extensions may be blocked for upload, according to the upload security configurations performed in the Configuration > System (CM006) menu of the Configuration component.
- The system will issue an error alert when trying to associate the same electronic file with different documents if the "Allow associating the same electronic file with different documents" option is not checked in the Document tab of the general parameters.
Conclusion
After adding them, all associated electronic files will be displayed in the list of records of the Electronic file tab.
