Drive - 3.1
New features in SoftExpert Editor
SoftExpert Editor has been updated with a new appearance and improvements that make the editing experience more fluid and collaborative.
The content area has been expanded and the table of contents can be collapsed and positioned on the right or on the left.
Furthermore, it is possible to mark a file as favorite directly in the editor header and use the presentation mode to facilitate team interactions.
Off-line editing
The editor now includes off-line editing support, ensuring the continuity of the work being done, even in cases of connection instability. The changes are saved locally and synchronized as soon as the connection is reestablished.
Comments
Now, there is support for comments directly in the content being edited, allowing the user to insert notes, reply to interactions in thread format, and track discussions in an organized manner.
Version history
Version control has been improved with the addition of automatic micro versions when editing. At the end of each day, these changes are consolidated into a single daily version, representing the final state of the file.
The system now stores up to 15 consolidated versions per file, automatically deleting older ones in order to preserve the most recent.
Audio files
The editor now allows embedding audio files in .ogg and .mp3 formats, and they can be played directly in the content. Simply insert the audio link using the option available in the menu.
Content block deletion
During off-line editing, some resources become temporarily unavailable, such as AI features, image and file addition, and the content import option.
PDF export
The Drive component now includes the export to PDF feature, available for files in formats supported by the converter.
With this resource, it is possible to generate PDF versions in a simple and quick way, facilitating document sharing and standardization.
To use this new feature, you must activate the Export to PDF option and define the location where the file will be saved.

Public folder sharing
Now, it is also possible to make the content of folders available publicly by means of an access link.
With this feature, the user can grant external access without the need for authentication in the system, ensuring hassle-free sharing of information.
In this type of access, the permission is restricted to viewing in order to ensure greater control and security for the content.
To use this resource, simply select the Public option when sharing and, if necessary, set an expiration date for the access to the link.

The public sharing option will be available according to the parameterization defined by the organization. Access our Help Center for more information.
Sharing with an external e-mail
File and folder sharing now allows for granting view access to e-mail addresses that do not belong to the organization.
With this feature, the system automatically sends an invitation with a link for direct access to the content, without the need for authentication, making it easier to share with external users in a convenient and secure way.
To use the resource, on the sharing screen, select the External e-mail option and provide the desired addresses.

The public sharing option will be available according to the parameterization defined by the organization. Access our Help Center for more information.
Option for blocking sub-folder creation
Folder organization has been improved with the possibility of blocking the creation of subfolders, which allows the user to maintain a defined structure even after sharing.
With the Block the creation of subfolders configuration, the owner can establish the ideal structure in advance, for example, by customer, project, or department, and ensure it is preserved.
When enabled:
- Editors cannot create new sub-folders within the folder.
- Editors can add new files normally.
- It will not be possible to copy or move other folders into the folder.
- Only the owner can enable or disable the configuration.
The configuration is important because:
- It standardizes the organization structure among teams.
- It prevents a disorganized growth of sub-folders over time.
- It reduces rework with content reorganization and governance.
- It keeps shared folders predictable and easy to browse through.
This feature is especially useful when there is a structure defined as the organizational standard and when the intention is for users to only add files, without changing the established hierarchy.

Ownership transfer

Association among components
SoftExpert Drive now allows for association with other SoftExpert Suite components, expanding the possibilities for integrating information.
With this feature, it is possible to link files from Drive to different objects, such as Kanban tasks, workflows, and documents, facilitating the organization and context of the information.
To use this resource, simply access the Association tab and select the relationship type and the object that will be associated.

Resource available only for records of the file type and for the association relationship type.
