Configuring an object of the product in progress type

 

Prerequisites

  • Access to the Configuration > General parameters (SP019) menu.
  • Access to the Management > Collection planning (SP003) menu.
  • Active licenses for SoftExpert PDM and SoftExpert Process.
  • Created item.
  • Previously created item/process characteristics, configured to be used in SPC.

 

Introduction

SoftExpert SPC also allows for monitoring item/process characteristics. To do so, it is necessary to enable the integration with SoftExpert Process in the general parameters.

See below how to perform this configuration:

 

Integration with SoftExpert Process

1. Access the Configuration > General parameters (SP019) menu.

2. Check the SE Process integration option.

3. Click on the Save and exit icon. button.

Configuring an object of the product in progress type

1. Access the Management > Collection planning (SP003) menu.

2. Click on the Add icon. button.

3. In the Type of object to be collected field, select the Product in progress option.

5. Fill in the Item, Revision, Process, and Activity fields, involved in the collection to be planned. Based on this information, the associated item/process characteristics will be listed.

4. Click on the Save and exit icon. button.

Conclusion

With the initial configurations finished and the collection item created in the system, the next step in the flow is to plan the data collection.
