Menus unified and nomenclature updated
In the new version of SoftExpert Kanban, the Board and backlog (KN008) menu is now called Task (KN008), centralizing task tracking and management in a single place.
With this change, the old Task (KN010) menu ceases to exist as an independent screen and is made available as a vision called List within the new Task (KN008) menu.
Previously, access to the tasks was divided among different menus, which required changing screens to view and manage information.
With the unification, day-to-day operations become simpler, bringing together on one screen different ways to view and manage tasks.
Task template
Now, it is possible to create task templates with pre-filled information, making the creation of tasks faster and more standardized.
With this new feature, the user can configure templates with previously filled data, such as title, description, assignee, reporter, deadline, and other relevant information.
To create a new task, simply select a template so that this data is loaded automatically; you only need to complement that which is specific.
Furthermore, the templates are available in a library, facilitating access and reuse on a day-to-day basis.
This improvement reduces the effort when creating recurring tasks, increases productivity, and ensures more consistency and standardization for recorded information.
Configuration of mandatory fields by step
It is now possible to define mandatory fields by step in SoftExpert Kanban, ensuring that certain information is provided before a task moves forward.
Through the lanes tab in the workspace record, the user is allowed to define which task attributes must be mandatorily filled in each step.
Attributes are additional and customizable fields that already exist in the system, used to adapt the record to the user's needs.
With this improvement, control over the flow of the tasks is increased, ensuring that important information is recorded at the right moment of the process, preventing tasks with incomplete data from moving forward.
New features in the task list resource
The item list of the Kanban tasks has been improved to make creation and organization more agile and flexible in the day-to-day routine.
From the List tab, it is now possible to import items in a simple way: when using the import option, the system provides a text field where each added line is automatically converted into a list item.
This improvement facilitates the mass creation of tasks from existing content.
Furthermore, the items on the list can now be freely rearranged with the drag-and-drop movement.
If previously they were limited to their order of creation, now they can be organized according to their priority or desired sequence.

Option for duplicating initiatives when cloning tasks improved
The Clone task feature in Kanban has been improved to also include associated initiatives.
With this enhancement, when copying a task, the user can choose to carry along the initiatives linked to the original task, preserving the context in the new one that is generated. Before, this information was not replicated automatically.
This update reduces rework and ensures greater consistency in the creation of new tasks, bringing about more agility when using tasks as a basis for new records.


Colors in the task initiative stripe
Now, it is possible to define the color of the initiative stripe displayed on the Board tasks, facilitating their visual identification in SoftExpert Kanban.
This configuration is set when creating or editing an initiative and is automatically reflected in the stripe displayed in the associated tasks.
Before this improvement, the stripe was always shown with the default color on the board, which would make it difficult to distinguish different initiatives visually.
This facilitates a quick and intuitive identification of the initiatives associated with the tasks.

Option for editing task highlights
The visual customization of the tasks on the board has been enhanced with the possibility of directly editing the highlight applied to the cards.
Now, when using the highlight feature, which allows applying background colors to the board view, it is possible to change the color of an already highlighted task without the need to remove the previous configuration.
With this improvement, the visual adjustment of the cards becomes simpler and more fluid, reducing steps and providing more agility in the organization and identification of the tasks on the board.

Task rearrangement in sprints
Now, it is possible to move a task directly to the beginning or to the end of a sprint, streamlining the reorganization of priorities in the backlog.
In the backlog vision, new options have been added to the actions menu of the tasks, allowing them to be quickly moved to the top or to the last position of the sprint.
Before, this reordering needed to be done manually by means of drag and drop. With the improvement, the user can count on shortcuts that make this process faster and more practical.
This feature increases agility in planning and makes it easier to maintain the order of the tasks within the sprint.

Workspace prefix with special characters
Now, it is possible to use special characters and numbers in the composition of prefix characters for the workspace, without the previous limit of 5 characters.
With this improvement, the user can adopt identification standards that are better aligned with business needs, ensuring greater customization and consistency in the nomenclature of the workspaces.
Option for opening the data screen in a new tab
Now, it is possible to open the data screen of a task in a new tab quickly and conveniently.
With this improvement, when using Ctrl + click or the middle mouse button on tasks in the initiative structure or on the board cards, the system automatically opens their data in a new tab of the browser.
This feature provides more agility in navigation and facilitates the analysis of multiple tasks simultaneously.
Task creation API with sub-task support
The system now includes an evolution in the Task creation API of Kanban, which now also allows the creation of sub-tasks.
With this improvement, it is possible to specify the main task when creating via integration.
When the type is a subtask, the system performs complete validations, including links to the parent task, user permissions, compatibility with the workspace, and other process rules.
The behaviors related to the sprint and to the associated initiatives have also been adjusted, ensuring consistency with the main task.
Additionally, the backlog import template and the documentation on the services have been updated to support this new capacity.
This evolution expands the possibilities for integrating and importing data into Kanban, allowing the structured creation of sub-tasks via API, reducing limitations in data load scenarios and ensuring greater adherence to the product's business rules.
New default frames with intelligent features
SoftExpert Suite version 3.1 brings a standardized interface to the following menus:
- Task type (KN005).
- Priority (KN003).
- Permission profile (KN013).
With optimized filters and a new functional listing, it is much easier to view, locate, and manage records.
Immediate benefits of this screen:
- Export of data from the list for reuse in other environments.
- Individual record editing.
- Mass change and deletion of records
- Integration with APIs for automation.
- Direct access to records with two clicks.
Exclusively in the Task type (KN005) and Priority (KN003) menus, it is possible to create records using the “With AI agent” feature, in addition to creating items from scratch and importing from a template.
These improvements have been developed to eliminate repetitive steps and make your routine even more productive.
With the new screen, SoftExpert Suite provides a more agile and efficient user experience, aligned with the needs of your organization.
The "With AI agent" feature will only be available to organizations that are Cloud customers and have SoftExpert Copilot.
